SMD introduced several new products at Southern Africa's premier event for the fishing community.
These included Net Monitoring electronics from Notus, the Omni-directional sonar from MAQ, Linemaster GPS radio buoys and long line controllers.

The Exhibition was held in the Cape town International Conference Centre and was well attended by the local industry. A number of representatives from overseas manufacturers were also present. Kamal Mouleb was available at the SMD Stand to answer questions on the Nera equipment.

Also on display from our established range was the JRC JMA-5300 Radar, NCR 330 paperless Navtex receiver, FF50 Fishfinder and 1000 radar from Japan Radio Company. The F33 and Mini M Inmarsat Satellite Communications systems from NERA. Safety Electronics from Mcmurdo with the E3/G4 EPIRBs and S4 SART.
